Employee of the Month
Grey joined the Auctioneer Software & Spectrum Net Designs as a Website Developer in February 2017. He graduated from Allegan High School is 2013 and has always lived in the West Michigan area. He comes to us with node js experience and is always excited to learn something new with our development team. He thinks that creating and maintaining a positive team environment is extremely important. Grey is an effective professional, with the need to always learn more. Strong skills at all levels of the organization as well as an in-depth understanding of project management and production/productivity improvement methods.
What was your 1st ever job? Did you like it?
My first job was in construction. As a kid I always wanted to grow up to be just like my dad. So I would put his tool belt on and his hat and follow him around the house while he was working on things. That way I could help him (or be in his way…).
If you could travel anywhere this year, where would you go?
It would have to be the Netherlands. I am the second generation of my family to be born in America. A lot of my family is still in the Netherlands and I would love to go see them and experience their culture.
What’s the most important thing on your “bucket list”?
The basic answer would be space. I want to be able to see the world from a different angle. Living on Earth you are always left with a perspective of everything being so much bigger. But if you were in space the Earth would appear so much smaller.
What was/is your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject in school? Well that would have to be math. I really don’t know what makes me enjoy it so much. I just really like figuring things out.
Do you have any hobbies?
I rebuild old motorcycles. Sometimes I chop them up, other times just restore them. I like anything that has wheels and moves fast haha.
