HOW TO SET UP YOUR EMAIL ON AN iPHONE (IMAP)

Before you start, have this info ready:
• Email address
• Password
• Incoming mail server (IMAP): mail.spectrumcpanel.com
• Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.spectrumcpanel.com
Security (if needed):
• Use SSL: [On]
• IMAP port: [993]
• SMTP port: [465 or 587]

STEP 1 – OPEN SETTINGS

1. On your iPhone, tap the “Settings” app (gray gear icon).
2. Scroll down and tap “Mail”.
3. Tap “Accounts”.
4. Tap “Add Account”.
5. Tap “Other”.
6. Tap “Add Mail Account”.

STEP 2 – BASIC ACCOUNT DETAILS

On the “New Account” screen:
1. Name: this value can be whatever you like
2. Email: type your full email address
Example: [you@yourdomain.com]
3. Password: type your email password
4. Description: type anything you like
Tap “Next”.

STEP 3 – CHOOSE IMAP AND SERVERS

At the top, make sure “IMAP” is selected.
INCOMING MAIL SERVER (IMAP):
1. Host Name: mail.spectrumcpanel.com
2. User Name: your full email address
3. Password: your email password (same as above)
OUTGOING MAIL SERVER (SMTP):
1. Host Name: mail.spectrumcpanel.com
2. User Name: your full email address
3. Password: your email password
Then tap “Next”. The phone will check the settings; this can take up to a minute.
If you see any “cannot verify server identity” warning:
– Tap “Continue” or “Trust” if that option appears.

STEP 4 – SAVE THE ACCOUNT

1. On the next screen, make sure “Mail” is turned ON.
2. (Optional) You can also turn on “Notes” if you want.
3. Tap “Save” in the top right.
Your email account is now added.

STEP 5 – TEST YOUR EMAIL

1. Go back to the home screen and open the “Mail” app.
2. Tap “Mailboxes”, then choose your new account if needed.
3. Wait a minute to let it check for new mail.
4. Try sending a test email to yourself:
– Tap the compose icon (square with pencil).
– Send an email from your new address to the same address.
– Check that it appears in Inbox and Sent.

IF SOMETHING DOESN’T WORK

If mail won’t send:
1. Go to Settings → Mail → Accounts.
2. Tap your new account → tap the account again at the top → tap “SMTP”.
3. Tap the Primary Server (the one you set, e.g. [smtp.yourdomain.com]).
4. Make sure:
• “Server” is ON
• Use SSL: ON (usually)
• Authentication: Password
• Server Port: [465] or [587] (try 587 if 465 doesn’t work)
5. Tap “Done”.
If mail won’t receive:
1. Go to Settings → Mail → Accounts → [your account].
2. Tap the account again at the top → tap “Advanced”.
3. Under “Incoming Settings”:
• Use SSL: ON
• Authentication: Password
• Server Port: [993] for IMAP
4. Go back and tap “Done”.
