Our Company
Spectrum Net Designs was established in October of 1999. We began our company down in the basement of our President, Kurt Kaptein's house. As we began to advertise our capabilities which included only website design and hosting it became apparent to us that many other opportunities were available for us to offer to our small client base. We believed at that time that we could sell hardware and support networking for small businesses in addition to our website services. In January of 2000, we were contacted by the Michigan Nursery and Landscape Association to submit a plan to assist the association and support them but also give an avenue to their members where they could be assisted as well with the overwhelming technology available at that time. At that point we evaluated our services for them from top to bottom and after much review the MNLA chose Spectrum Net designs to be their Endorsed member service. We trimmed our services down at that point to the following: Internet Access, Website registration, Website Hosting, Website Design, E-commerce, Website Marketing and the development and duplicating of CD-Business cards. Since January of 2000 we have extended our exposure in the horticulture industry to include the state associations of Indiana, Texas, MGIA, Colorado, Idaho, Pennsylvania, along with Michigan, totals six associations representing approximately 5,000 members nationwide. We are currently in the process of conversing with several other state associations in the horticulture industry in order to give us a complete footprint throughout the United States.
In June of 2003, Spectrum Net Designs was also proud to offer our affinity program to the Michigan Association of Home Builders representing approximately 11,000 members statewide. This partnership is just beginning to flourish and it has proven that the services we offer can be adapted to any company in any industry regardless of location.
In January of 2005 we extended our services to offer brochure/catalog design and print which has given Spectrum Net Designs a total package to offer to the associations we serve. One of the responses we get from potential clients is how to get over the distance issue between Spectrum and the client. This past month we have bridged that gap as well with the ability to offer an online meeting with up to 9 other attendees at the same time. While viewing Spectrums screen on their computer and the conference call capabilities that we have implemented we can truly say that "It is just like being there".
Spectrum Net Designs continues to grow daily and our President, Kurt Kaptein, believes that our continued growth is due to the efficient processes that we have setup in order to serve our clients better and also the people we have employed at Spectrum Net Designs who have the client skills to help you as best as they can.
